Types of Training

Classroom

Classroom trainings are taught by AHA-certified instructors. During the training, participants will review and practice with a video, as well as perform hands-on skills. Once the participant successfully completes the training, they will receive a training certification card that is valid for two years. Costs will vary for students and faculty or staff.

Blended Learning

Blended learning is a combination of online training followed by a hands-on session. The online training can be selected directly through the American Heart Association. Once a participant has completed the online training, they need to print the completion certification. Then within 60 days of completing the online training, the participant must complete a hands-on session with an AHA-certified instructor. Once the participant successfully completes both the online training and the hands-on session, they will receive a training certification card that is valid for two years.  Costs will vary for students and faculty or staff.
