Health and Wellness Kits
To best support students in their health and wellness journey, a variety of kits are offered. Included in the kits are various items related to specific wellness along with educational information and additional resources. Kits can be found in the HERO lobby or by request from a HERO staff member. All kits are covered by the Wellness Fee so there is no charge to access; furthermore, kits are for students only.
Kits available in the HERO lobby:
Resiliency Kit - includes a Daily Life bookmark, Daily Life sticker, a hot/cold pack, a keyboard fidget, information about the Daily Life program, building resiliency, and suicide warning signs as well as additional resources
Safer Sex Kit – includes 2 condoms and information on how to properly use a condom as well as additional resources
Vaping & Nicotine Cessation Kit – includes stress ball, mints, lip balm, pen, and information about KanUquit program
Fentanyl Testing Kit – includes fentanyl test strip, vial, and cotton swab and information about how to properly use the test strip and fentanyl education as well as additional resources
Naloxone Kit – includes naloxone and information on how to properly use naloxone as well as additional resources

Plan B Kit – includes one dose of Plan B and information on how to properly use the medication as well as additional resources
Pregnancy Testing Kit – includes one pregnancy test and information on how to properly use a pregnancy test as well as additional resources
Safe Party Pack – includes a safer sex kit, fentanyl testing kit, BAC cups, liquid IV, trash bags, and information on practical hosting tools, alcohol safety, KU policies, and guidance for being a good neighbor and respectful community member
Safer Sex Kits Express – a partnership with Housing & Residence Life where RA’s can request safer sex kits be delivered to them
Safer Sex Products – additional safer sex products are available, such as latex-free external condoms, internal condoms, dental dams, water-based lube, silicone-based lube, etc. and include information on how to properly use
